Marinate Chicken:

Combine yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, chili powder, turmeric, and salt. Coat chicken and let it marinate for 30 mins (or overnight if time allows).

Cook Chicken:

In a pan, cook the marinated chicken on medium-high heat until browned and cooked through. Remove and keep aside.

Prepare Tomato Base:

Blend tomatoes into a smooth puree.

Make Gravy:

In the same pan, add butter. Sauté ginger-garlic paste for 1–2 mins. Add the tomato puree and cook until oil separates (~5–7 mins).

Spice it Up:

Add chili powder, cumin, coriander, salt, and garam masala. Stir well and cook for another 2 mins.

Finish Gravy:

Add cooked chicken, water (as needed), cream, and kasuri methi. Simmer on low heat for 5–7 mins.

Garnish:

Top with a dollop of butter or cream and fresh coriander (optional).
